Job Description
The Creative Director will be a central pillar of our ADS & EXP creative team and strategic processes. The Creative Director will pitch to clients to land cool work for the advertising department.
The CD will also work closely with the VFX supervisors and artists over the course of our projects. Additionally, the Creative Director will be the creative representative and face of Rodeo Ads & experiences for our clients.
Lastly, the CD will have strong leadership, and help create a vision and guide all partners towards the end result.
- You have a good understanding of the advertising market worldwide and all of its different services ( agencies, productions, post productions, experiential etc..);
- You are the creative force and vision of your team and are interested in collaborating with other CDs under the supervision of the ECD to develop the company worldwide;
- You have a strong art direction background, whether in agencies or post houses, a good understanding and practice of the traditional 3D pipeline and are aware of new technologies (real-time, AI, and you are a model for our internal team and collaborators by showing rigor);
- You gather inspiration from unexpected sources, and push concepts beyond the usual path;
- You are a perfectionist with your craft and execution;
- You are able to pitch our studio, services, and ideas to our wide spectrum of clients (agencies, productions, direct clients).
- You are comfortable talking to an audience;
- You are able assemble the best teams at your disposal to match every project needs and find external resources if needed;
- You will ensure the productions go smoothly by overlooking the process and chosen pipelines, and collaborating with the head of operations;
- You feel comfortable challenging briefs, finding unexpected solutions to the clients objectives and strategies while also taking into consideration extenuating implications and operations;
- You will work closely with our teams in Toronto, Paris, and Los Angeles. You will also be involved in exchanges with our customers based around the world, in order to highlight Rodeo FX's technical and creative capabilities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 years of experience overall in the industry, and minimum of 4 years as a Creative Director, VFX supervisor, Director or other relevant positions, delivering stunning TVCs and experiential projects (AR, interactive installations, etc );
- Strong portfolio with a wide range of projects and high-profile clients;
- Excellent presentation skills, a born storyteller with the ability to translate highly technical ideas into a common language;
- Deep curiosity about technology with some technical knowledge to translate creative ideas into tasks for developers and integrators;
- UX / Design focused on an understanding of how to turn brand equity into visuals;
- Communication, organization and management skills, and mindset.
