Box Bus is building a network of couriers for same-day and next-day deliveries in the Greater Vancouver Area. This is for owner-operators only, we do not supply vehicles.
In particular, we are seeking drivers that live in the Eastern Fraser Valley. (Mission / Abbotsford / Chilliwack / Hope) but we do need drivers living in Metro Vancouver as well.
We are seeking owner-operators with cars, SUVs, minivans, cargo vans, box trucks, straight trucks and flat decks.
Deliveries can be next-days (24 hours to complete), same-days (8 hours to complete) or Rush orders (2-4 hours to complete) and can be anywhere between Horseshoe Bay and Hope.
Delivery rates will vary greatly depending on distance, weight, size and delivery time.
Delivery operations will be Monday to Friday 7 am to 5 pm standard hours.
Typical km / day varies. 7 am start time, 8-10-hour days.
Monday through Friday every week, steady. Some additional and optional work is available weekends and holidays as well.
We also have 3PL batch-pickup work at Purolator in Burnaby, Richmond and Port Kells (Mon-Fri) for those with minivans, cargo vans and SUVs.
We also have GoBolt delivery out of south Richmond 7 days a week for those with Electric / Hybrid vehicles.
Please note these are T4-A independent contractor positions, not hourly or salaried T4 employee positions and are not suitable for those on student visas or those seeking LMIA sponsorship or Permanent Residence.
Position Requirements :
Must own a vehicle to use for the work, we do not provide vehicles.
Safety vest (Class 2) and hard-toe shoes / boots are mandatory at the warehouse.
Winter or all-weather tires are required (not all-season tires).
Ability to safely enter and exit your vehicle multiple times a day.
Smartphone with a data plan.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred :
2+ years of courier experience in the GVA area.
Customer service background.
A can-do attitude.
Time management skills.
