Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Global Institutional. The Manager Business Administration is an important catalyst and contributor to the overall growth and transformation of the Manulife Investment Management and Global Institutional franchises.
Responsibilities :
- Organize and prioritize critical issues and information to enable timely and effective decision-making by relevant stakeholders (CEO, CFO, various leadership teams)
- Manage agenda, coordinate pre-read materials and track action items for leadership team and business review meetings
- Coordinate with Strategy and Communications to effectively cascade internal messages
- Work with appropriate internal partners (e.g. Communications, Investor Relations, Treasury) to coordinate CEO / CFO / GM engagements with external stakeholders (e.
g. media, investors, rating agencies, strategic partners)
- Manage the goal setting, progress / performance review and scorecard management process for the GWLT, working closely with Finance and Strategy
- Coordinate agenda and logistics for leadership team offsites, working closely with Strategy
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve processes and procedures and increase leadership team effectiveness and productivity
- Lead special projects as needed
What we are looking for
- Professional designation (MBA, CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CFA) preferred with 8+ years of relevant, progressively senior experience, in financial services
- Ability to work independently, get to the relevant information and pierce through silos
- Ability to handle difficult situations and escalate issues in an effective manner
- Politically astute, with strong situational sensitivity and ability to influence
- Exceptional organization and project management skills
- Emotional intelligence, with ability to demonstrate judgment, discretion and diplomacy
- Ability to see the pain points and bottlenecks the leadership team faces in pushing the organization to change and find ways to mitigate
- Result-oriented with an ability to multi-task, prioritize across multiple initiatives, drive accountability, and develop creative solutions where blueprints may not exist
- Outstanding communication skills with shown ability to articulate complex business problems in simple and impactful words
- Team player, collaborative, self-starter, well-organized, innovative, and high level of initiative
- Ability to lead and motivate professionals informally and formally

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location

Salary range is expected to be between
$86,325.00 USD - $155,385.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
