Explore and join us!DIALOG is seeking a technically strong professional to join our Vancouver, BC electrical team as an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer (we welcome candidates in either capacity to apply).
The successful candidate will apply their previous years of BC-based design consultancy experience and 8+ years of expertise as an Electrical Engineer to help identify and build out future strategy.
Beyond your technical, project management and industry knowledge, demonstrating strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship building skills is a must.
Desire to support the success and progression of the electrical team in Vancouver will also be important.
How you'll make a difference :
- Participate as part of a larger multidisciplinary team, lead the electrical design for all aspects of a project, including power, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, security, IT, and other systems relevant to the project
- Prepare reports and design specifications for electrical systems and equipment
- Manage the project deliverables by overseeing the BIM model development, respond to design activity schedules and milestones and resource personnel to accomplish these tasks
- Provide design support for contract administration during construction phase of the projects
- Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained by working with integrated team members

Education and Credentials :
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology is required
- Registered or required
- 8+ years of experience in public sector work (healthcare, post-secondary, institutional, civic) consulting
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary practice preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding and experience with schematic design, design development, detailed design calculations, contract administration
- Knowledge of power distribution system, fire safety, lighting, security systems, voice and data communication systems is required
- Understanding of the move towards 100% electrification of building systems is an asset
- Experience with BIM Software (Revit) is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of building and electrical Codes and Standards for large buildings
- RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Design) designation is an asset
- LEED / WELL Accreditation is an asset
