About the Role
As an Audit Manager Private Sector at Forvis Mazars, you will play an essential role in supervising our audit engagements for private sector clients.
You will be responsible for planning and executing engagements to ensure quality standards are met and client expectations are fulfilled.
Additionally, you will identify value-added solutions to support clients' strategic objectives.
Your role will also include mentoring and supporting the audit team, as well as participating actively in recruiting and training new talent.
You will bring your expertise to ensure the successful completion of engagements and to strengthen our client relationships.
Your responsibilities
- Plan and oversee audit engagements while adhering to established deadlines and budgets.
- Act as an advisor to audit team members, providing support in resolving technical challenges.
- Conduct a thorough review of engagement files to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and requirements.
- Offer value-added solutions to clients, tailored to their strategic goals and organizational context.
- Identify opportunities for additional services with current clients and potential new clients.
- Serve as a mentor for team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Participate in the performance review process for members of the audit team.
- Contribute to recruiting and training new members of the audit team.
Your Skills and Experience
- Hold a CPA auditor designation.
- Have over five years of experience in an accounting firm, including at least three years managing complex audit engagements.
- Deep knowledge of audit procedures and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and projects, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead, mobilize, and delegate within a professional team, with strong training skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian taxation.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in project and team management.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized audit software.
- Availability for engagements primarily located in the Greater Montreal area.
- Fluency in both French and English to interact effectively with clients in Quebec and beyond.
