Summary of Position :
Our client is looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist to focus on the production of working and construction drawings, alongside a well-established team of other technologists, architects, project managers and BIM specialists.
You will work on a nice variety of projects with well known top tier clients across Canada.
Role Responsibilities :
- Work closely with other architects, technologists and team members to produce a set of high-quality Revit drawings including plans, elevations, and section details
- Coordinate with MEP and other subconsultants to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing designs on time and budget
- Deal with permits, re-zoning, material substitutions; evolve to the adapting needs of the design and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Deal with RFIs, addendums, and shop drawings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Proactively take notes and communicate among all team members and leaders and outside stakeholders; to get the support you need and ensure the client satisfaction
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or architectural technologist diploma from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years working in the production of construction and working drawings; minimum two years full-time use of Revit on the job
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- A Revit portfolio of complex warehouse and mixed-use offices; large scale commercial and manufacturing (industrial) facilities
- Proficiency in industry related software and tools, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Ontario building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current with industry trends and best practices
