What you will be doing toCreate the Essential TorontoExperience :
Maintain thehighest standards of food quality and presentation in workstationas directed by the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef onduty.
Works within the station in clean safe andefficient manner in accordance with the policys procedures andstandards of the kitchen.
- Prepares thenecessary food items as directed by the Chef dePartie / Sous Chef in accordance with standards in a timelyand efficient fashion to ensure that there is no interruption toguest service.
- Adhere to standardized recipesand specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure allstandards are met
- Keeps work station clean& organized including fridge / freezers countertops rangetops
- Ensures that station opening and closingprocedures are carried out to standard
- Keepsoverproduction and food waste to a minimum ensures proper rotationlabeling and storing of food in order to reduce food costexpense.
- Operate all kitchen equipment andconduct themselves with safety in mind at alltimes
- Ensures that all food products arehandled stored prepared and served safely in accordance with hoteland government Food Safety guidelines.
- Reportany and all deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality andquality of food products to Chef de Partie / Sous Chef in atimely manner
- Complete other job related dutiesas assigned by yoursupervisor
Qualifications :
- Minimum2 years cookingexperience
- Experience in a luxuryhotel with comparable service and standards anasset
- Valid City of Toronto Food HandlerCertificate required
- Certificate or Diplomafrom a recognized Culinary School
- Excellentinterpersonal and communicationskills
