Sr. Shipping & Billing Analyst to support Physical Metals Operation Team of large banking client -
Duration : 12 months (possibility of extension or conversion)
Location : Hybrid - Downtown Toronto (3 days / week)
Line of Business : Commodity - Metals
The bank maintains inventories of precious and base metals throughout the world. Physical metals operation team is providing the support to our traders globally for both base metals and precious metals business.
As a member of physical metals operation team base in our Toronto office, working closely with Global trading and sales desks, mainly providing the support being a key point of contact between custodians and clients, helping to ensure smooth settlement of metals.
Job Responsibilities :
- Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Researches and resolves discrepancies and issue or escalates to manger, as required.
- Responsible for Monthly invoice and dispatch to client within the required timeline
- Ensure the records are maintained in a proper manner
- Ensure the financial system and inventory system are updated properly for the trades and transfer requests and related supporting docs are retained for future reference
- Ensure all shipping documentation and invoices generate are in order as required.
- Builds effectives relationship with internal / external stakeholders
- Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
- Interaction with partners across the businesses, including Middle office, Front office, Technology.
Must Haves :
- 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role - familiar with billing process, invoices, high level communication etc.
- Knowledge of standard computer applications (i.e. Excel, etc.) and department systems and applications
- Knowledge and understanding of business unit’s products and services, processes and controls
- Banking / Fi experience
Nice To Have Skills :
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of business unit’s risk and regulatory requirements
