Robert Half has an exceptional opportunity for a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent Accounts Payable (A / P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company.
Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G / L, processing checks, resolving A / P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk.
An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator.
This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area and will be a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position.
What you get to do every day
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP / Finance Department
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
- Execute full-cycle A / P
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Job Requirements :
- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- 3+ years of experience in an A / P role preferred
- AA or BS / BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices
- Bank reconciliations experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Accrued Expenses
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
