Requirements
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Earth moving and grading in a hard rock mining environment.
- Loading haul trucks.
- Building to design.
- Willing to help ground personnel when required.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient delivery of materials.
- Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
- Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
- Showcase your exceptional judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate your versatility by collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience operating an excavator (336,349, 390, 470,670, 1250).
- Experience as an excavator operator in the hard rock mining and / or heavy civil earthworks and mining industry.
- Demonstrated expertise with technical specifications, grade plans and building roads..
- Worked on all types of ground conditions, including soft ground and hard rock.
- Ability to finish or trim would be an asset.
- GPS experience would be preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have (or be willing and able to obtain) CSO, Intermediate First Aid, and Ground Disturbance level 2.
- Provide your own steel toed 6" lace up boots (CSA Approved)
- Able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and safely.
- As this is a safety sensitive position alcohol, drug and fit to work assessment is a pre-employment requirement. The fit to work assessment is to ensure common movements and tasks can be performed for this position based on a physical demand analysis of bona fide occupational requirements.
