We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to continue driving our growth! Someone who enjoys a fast-paced and high growth environment.

What is a typical work day?

  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities by identifying and engaging potential clients within the retail and logistics sectors, including 3PL / 4PL companies.
  • Act as the primary contact during the initial sales phase, driving the process from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Strategically manage and expand the sales pipeline, consistently providing accurate sales forecasts.
  • Develop robust relationships with new clients while diligently working to understand their business needs and delivering customized solutions that enhance client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services, enhancing the customer journey from initial contact to full engagement.
  • Rapidly address and effectively manage complex client issues, setting and maintaining high standards for project timelines and outcomes.
  • Document, track, and communicate project milestones and outcomes, both internally and with clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare detailed quotes, bids, and responses to RFPs with support from various team members.
  • Collaborate closely with all internal departments to drive excellence and achieve tangible results for clients.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets to significantly contribute to the company’s overall financial goals.
  • Continuously generate a robust pipeline of leads and business through direct outreach and referrals.
  • Responsible for meticulously maintaining the CRM system, ensuring all contacts and opportunities are up-to-date and accurately reflect ongoing business activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and foster new relationships.

Business and Technical Skills

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in logistics, third-party brokerage, or a closely related field, demonstrating a proven track record in strategic sales and client management.
  • Advanced understanding of North American and Global market dynamics and requirements for Ecommerce Logistics, including Canadian customs protocols, with a preference for candidates who bring international experience.
  • Capability and readiness to travel extensively to foster relationships and close deals.
  • Mastery in building and sustaining high-level relationships, with a history of negotiating and closing large-scale agreements.
  • Expertise in crafting and executing strategic solutions that integrate deep business insights with technological advancements.
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills, able to engage, convince, and manage high-level stakeholders across diverse industries.
  • Proven leadership in handling multiple, high-stakes projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, adept in complex negotiations and managing critical or high-stress business situations with poise and professionalism.
