JOB SUMMARY

This is a field service position responsible for electrical repairs and maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Install electrical equipment located in either the field or shop in accordance to applicable code requirements.
• Repair and maintain existing electrical equipment on drilling rigs, shop and office locations.
• Complete field service tickets, time entry, vehicle logs and expense reports.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle in accordance to Nabors policies.
• Flexible to assist in warehouse duties as required.
• Report to Field Service Supervisor or Electrical Manager depending on location or task.
• Work in a safe manner as defined by Nabors policies and accepted industry practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :

• Minimum 1 year Journeyman electrician experience in oil & gas industry required.
• Journeyman Electrician certificate.
• WHMIS.
• ARC Flash training.
• H2S Alive.
• Valid Driver’s License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Preferred Experience :
• VFD / SCR / Generator.
• AC and DC motor / drive.
• Allen Bradley PLC Programming.

Qualifications

BEHAVIORAL COMPENTENCIES

• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Able to mentor apprentice electricians.

TECHNICAL COMPENTENCIES

• Strong electrical / technical knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of rig based electrical systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position requires extensive travel.
• Work a predetermined schedule, with possible overtime as operational needs dictate.
• Willing to work out of town.
• Able to live in a dry camp environment when working out of town.
