Senior Structural Designer
Location : Remote, USA
Duration : 18 Months
Hourly Rate : $62 (W2), $77 (1099)

Role & Responsibilities :
- Preparation of 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.
- Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy / strategy.
- Has knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC and electrical.
- Design activity will require knowledge of design principles and drafting procedures.
- Work with coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plan.
- Support Plant Arrangement and Layout in 3D model (Navisworks, Revit). Proficient in Revit & Autodesk suite of tools.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
- Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience with the following :
- Manage project work schedules and priorities.
- Work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D Model in Autodesk Tool suite (Revit)
- Work within a team environment to execute work plans and schedules as applicable for mission success.
- Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft teams.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- 3 years of experience drafting in heavy industrial, thermal power, or nuclear industry or similar structural industries
- Minimum 3 years experience using Revit for structural and or architectural modeling.
- Proficient computer skills Microsoft office proficiency Advanced communication skills
- Canadian and USA security clearance preferred but not required
