The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) role on the Leadership Advisory Solutions (LAS) Team is focused on leading / driving small to medium sized LAS projects and supporting and leading project management on complex or large-scale projects.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting all members of the LAS team and other service line client teams across industries and functions to sell and execute leadership advisory work.
The SBA works broadly across different offerings to develop a well-rounded understanding of our solutions.
We will provide critical experiences to help the SBA grow in this role, and after repeat exposure and experience we would envision the SBA within 12 18 months capable to manage / run a large scale (20+) project including running a calibration session, being certified and delivering psychometric tools, and ultimately gaining direct exposure to leadership assessments (interviews, references, report writing), team workshops, client trainings, etc.
We provide a comprehensive onboarding and training program for every new hire, including formal mentors within the Leadership Advisory team and the local office.
A Senior Business Analyst should expect to spend 5-20% of their time traveling, at either internal or client sites. Travel schedules are highly variable but always known well in advance.
What You'll Do
Assignment Execution
- Supports client projects alongside LAS team or colleagues.
- Supports execution in terms of project management, creation of assessment framework, and interpretation of psychometric results (once accredited in the interpretation).
- Proactively communicates with assignment team throughout the assignment process to ensure prompt delivery against project plan.
Leads or coordinates with Lead EA or project manager to lead project management for the project.
- Once trained, will lead calibration sessions, create summary analyses, conduct references, and deliver psychometric feedback.
- Gathers and uses knowledge of past projects to build insights in support of current and future projects.
Business Development
- Supports proactive and reactive business development activities such as pitch materials, local / regional events.
- Once trained, can partner directly with relevant stakeholders in preparing customized client proposals, pitch materials, and presentations.
- Contributes as a team member to support knowledge management (i.e., case studies and credentials).
- Front line support for standard and complex pitches requests.
- Lead / drive the creation of an RFI / RFP.
- Understands the basic pricing guidelines; seeks support on pricing questions from internal experts.
- Supports LAS team and other relevant stakeholders in monitoring the market in support of commercial activity.
- Begins to connect opportunities for aligning LAS and consultants to BD activities.
Contributes to Content & IP Development
- Conducts internal research for marketing materials that may be used for a white paper or article, with partnership or guidance from consultants and key stakeholders.
- Shares knowledge with LAS team and project teams.
- Explores internal data to learn about trends in leadership advisory; partners with internal experts across different topics to build depth of knowledge across product offerings.
- Learns / monitors key trends and players (competitors and thought leaders) outside of Egon Zehnder, with partnership or guidance from a more senior member of the LAS team.
- Is a go to person for the more complex requests from the LAS help channel on Teams and mentors less tenured team members in support of the LAS help channel and global practice requests.
- Represents practice at broader level and pulls in more senior people depending on complexity.
- Establishes an internal network across the firm (local / practice / global).
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years’ professional work experience (post-undergrad).
- Experience working in teams
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and related tools
Nice To Have
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience in management consulting or professional services
- Demonstrated experience in a role of a similar nature (qualitative research, project management, legal research, professional services, etc.).
