- Be responsible for a number of treasury tasks including reviewing credit rating agency models, preparing covenant compliance documents and assisting with cash management.
- Perform credit risk analysis for counterparties in energy supply, renewable and low carbon fuels, and major capital projects, and make impactful recommendations.
- Be a major contributor to the creation of financial models, while following best-practice techniques, for various business development projects including new and emerging business opportunities such as potential investment opportunities in hydrogen, solar, wind, and renewable gas projects.
Additionally, you will conduct ad hoc research, and create presentation materials for management and stakeholders.
What it takes :
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, or business administration from an accredited university, plus a professional financial designation (CPA) and two years of recent and relevant experience in accounting, corporate finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, or investment banking.
- CFA or CBV designation, or desire to pursue CFA or CBV designation is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.
- A demonstrated ability in understanding financial statements and accounting principles to assist you in preparing key analyses.
- Strong prioritization skills that enable you to handle multiple tasks across various areas of corporate finance and treasury.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as you develop and strengthen strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the business and industry.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development.
