Our client, an aerospace manufacturer is seeking skilled and reliable General Labourers, Production Workers, GTAW / TIG Welders, and Casting Welders to join our team.
The successful incumbent will chip and remove by fettling excess material from castings such as roughness, gates, risers and flashing.
Welders will be welding aluminium and metal parts together using GTAW / TIG WELDING.
Successful candidates must be able to work 8-10 hour weekly rotating (day and afternoon) Monday-Friday shifts.
Working location : Haley Station, ON (Located in Ottawa Valley, own transportation is required)

Responsibilities for General Labour
- Receives instruction from supervisor or manager
- Maintains a clean working area to 6S standards and observes all plant safety rules and regulations
- Notifies foreman of any job irregularities, faulty equipment or material
- Uses various size pneumatic chipping chisels to remove excess materials from castings
- Uses air operated hand tools such as grinders,cutters, sanders and reciprocating gun to dress and fettle castings to their required shape
- Uses calipers, sonic machines, straight edges and rules to check tolerances
- Blues and paints castings for scribing using templates to maintain casting configuration
- Uses small hand tools to change cutters, grinders and sanding equipment
- Loads and operates manual and mechanical grind aids
Responsibilities for Welders
- All safety requirements and descriptions from above
- Tig Welding / GTAW experience an asset for welders
- Follow blueprints and instructions to correctly weld alumnium
- Assist in repair welding
Position Requirements
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience will be considered an asset
- Must possess High School Diploma / GED Certificate or equivalent training / experience
- All candidates will be required to pass a general aptitude test in order to be considered
- Must be able to work 8-10 hour rotating shifts
- CWB Certificate an asset if applying for welder position
