We HAVE A CNC MACHINE OPERATOR / MACHINIST POSITION WITH EXPERIENCE USING CNC PLASMA TABLE. THIS MACHINE OPERATOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OPERATING SPECIALIZED CNC MACHINERY USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURAL BEAMS.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF CNC MACHINE OPERATION, SET UP AND REPAIR.
JOB : CNC MACHINE OPERATOR / MACHINIST (EXP WITH PLASMA TABLE)
PAY : $25 / HR + $3 / HR RAISE AS LEARN NEW MACHINES
TYPE : FULL TIME / POSSIBLY PERMANENT (NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS)
LOCATION : GUELPH, ON
QUALIFICATIONS :
- MUST HAVE OWN CAR AS BUS DOES NOT COVER FULL SHIFT
- ABLE TO READ, WRITE AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN ENGLISH
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OPERATING PLASMA TABLE AND VARIOUS OTHER CNC MACHINES
- ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET BLUEPRINTS, DIAGRAMS AND PROJECT PLANS
- ABILITY TO READ A TAPE MEASURE IN BOTH METRIC AND IMPERIAL
- STRONG MECHANICAL APTITUDE AND TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS
- EXCELLENT ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ABILITY TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT
- PHYSICAL STAMINA
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- OPERATE CNC MACHINERY TO CREATE OBJECTS AS PER BLUEPRINT SPECIFICATIONS
- COLLABORATE WITH TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE GOOD WORK FLOW.
- SET UP AND OPERATE CNC MACHINES
- MONITOR MACHINERY PERFORMANCE AND CONDUCT ROUTINE MAINTENANCE TO ENSURE OPTIMAL OPERATION.
- ADHERE TO SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND REGULATIONS AT ALL TIMES TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES.
- COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH SUPERVISORS AND TEAM MEMBERS TO COORDINATE WORK ACTIVITIES AND ADDRESS ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE.
- FOLLOW COMPANY SAFETY POLICIES / MAINTAIN A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
