Role Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for driving the awareness of the Export Packers Company Brands and stimulating sales movement at both the distributor and operator levels.
Reporting to the Ontario Regional Sales Manager, this role is customer-facing and contributes to the delivery of sales and profit objectives for the Foodservice Division.
Responsibilities
- Managing food service distributors in their geographical area of responsibility.
- Work with distributor representatives with specific attention to driving new menu listing at operator customers.
- Managing regional accounts in their geographical area of responsibility.
- Generate quarterly external business reviews, and monthly internal reviews to assess business performance vs. prior year and budget.
- Participate in the setting up and planning of industry trade shows.
- Evaluate SKU level forecast to ensure current demand is reflected.
- Construct presentations to generate sales, educate customers and drive new item listings.
- Proactively identify, pursue and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers that will meet or exceed established quotas via prospecting, networking, and referral activities within a designated territory.
- Gain and maintain access to decision-makers via a disciplined and structured prospecting regimen.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints.
- CRM data responsibilities.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum 5 plus years of Foodservice sales experience, with specific expertise in the major distributor and healthcare segments.
- Bachelor’s Degree or college equivalent.
- Exceptional knowledge of the Foodservice / Seafood industry.
- Culinary experience is an asset.
- CRM experience an asset.
- Strong negotiation and prospecting skills.
- Proficient MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Results-driven with a demonstrated commitment to achieving success.
- Self-starter with a bias for action.
- Experience with pricing execution and industry trade programs.
- Proficient in MS Office Programs, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to prepare proposals, reports, and customer presentations.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and attend occasional evening events where overnight accommodation is required.
