Our Trauma Coordinators provide telephone intake services at a steady pace. Their work includes the initial assessment of the client organization's needs and urgency, as well as the assignment of qualified / appropriate service providers to provide the required support.
They have the ability to work in a fast call center environment or from home with multiple deadlines, they demonstrate great sensitivity, listening and are able to empathize and manage crisis situations professionally.
Successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications :
- Equivalent college or post-secondary bachelor's degree or diploma in health sciences or social work (or another field related to human services);
- Two (2) years of experience in the field of customer service, preferably in a social service or office environment;
- Exceptional customer service skills, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English;
- Ability to provide adequate client services and ongoing client support;
- Strong human relations skills, team spirit and the ability to make critical decisions on their own, if necessary;
- Great attention to detail, excellent ability to multi-task at the same time and good decision-making skills;
- High sensitivity to people and ability to express empathy;
- Ability to manage crisis situations responsibly, professionally and intelligently;
- Ability to work evening shifts and weekends (rotating shifts).
