Pumping Solutions, a DXP company is seeking a Pump Repair and Maintenance Mechanic in Ontario, California, with a relocation expectation within the 1st year of employment! Territories for re-location are Hayward, CA, Fresno, CA and Vancouver, WA.
Responsibilities of the Pump Repair and Maintenance Mechanic include, but are not limited to :
- Tear down and inspection of pumps and equipment.
- Repairing or replacing defective pumps and parts using hand, power, and air driven tools.
- Performing diagnosis of equipment failures.
- Inspection, operation and recording of maintenance work and their costs.
- Background research on various pump models, locating, and using manufacturer parts lists, and repair manuals.
- Detailed explanation of pump or part failure on customer repair quotes.
- Cleaning, painting and lubricating pumps of parts.
- Maintaining overall cleanliness of repair facility.
- Proper functionality of repair shop, tools, and machinery within the repair facility.
- Ability to perform pressure tests.

Qualifications of the Pump Repair and Maintenance Mechanic include, but are not limited to :
- Some experience working with rotating equipment necessary
- Pump knowledge preferred
- Background check, physical, and drug test required
- Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
- Be able to apply force / torque up to 100 ft / lbs.
- Be able to lift and / or move items up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to operate tools at various heights from floor / pallet level to counter height, given the dimensional limitations of the pump being serviced.
- Must be able to comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
