Reporting to the Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following :
- To demonstrate alignment with Saskatoon Co-op Brand and Values
- To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
- To wear the accepted Co-op uniform and Personal Protective Equipment as required
- To be dependable for all scheduled shifts
- To meet the expectations of internal and external customers.
- To perform all tasks required in a liquor store including but not limited to : store opening and closing, cashier, stocking, receiving, preparing commercial and online orders, snow removal, cleaning and sanitizing
- To understand products and services we offer in order to promote the sale of goods and services to meet the needs, requirements and expectations of our customers.
- To maintain a neat, clean, and orderly store at all times.
- To order, receive and display merchandise as directed and per Saskatoon Co-op policies and procedures.
- To efficiently operate the point of sale system and conduct financial transactions in adherence with Saskatoon Co-op policies.
- To proficiently and safely operate the manual and power mobile equipment in the store
- To adhere to loss prevention policies and strategies.
- To review and act on various . reports as they pertain to the section and as directed by the manager.
- To understand and adhere to Saskatoon Co-op policies and procedures, in particular adhering to the Selling Age Restricted Items policy
- To ensure that a neat, clean, and orderly location is maintained at all times
- To effectively handle situations including but not limited dealing with difficult customers, resolving complaints and dealing with incidents
- To train and coach team members within the guidelines of Saskatoon Co-op Policies & Procedures and SLGA regulations
- To effectively delegate work to meet timelines
- To perform all duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Have or willing to obtain Serve It Right Saskatchewan.
- Candidates must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education
- Candidates must have previous experience in the liquor industry and enhanced understanding of wine, spirits and beer
- Preferred candidates will have administrative experience and at least 2 years supervisory experience and proven leadership competencies
- Preference may be given to applicants who have completed advanced product knowledge training from a recognized educator
- Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
- a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
