Dispatcher- Transportation Industry

Drake International is hiring an Experienced Dispatcher for our client in the Brampton area. If you are looking for a joband have 2- 3 years of Dispatcher LTL experience in the transportation industry , then this may be the perfect opportunity for you! What we offer :

• Location : Brampton, L7A 1K9 ON
• Pay rate : $ 26- 28 / hr. depending on experience
• Shifts : Days (8 AM to 4 : 30 PM), Monday to Friday
• Start Date ASAP on an ongoing basis.
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity

What you’ll do :

• Quickly analyze the information received form the caller and dispatch the required vehicles.
• Coordinate, schedule, manage and communicate all pickup and delivery requirements to drivers via telephone and / or pre-planned trips.
• Configure routes daily for pickup and delivery for drivers, ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Optimize driver trips and routes to ensure truck and service capacity.
• Monitor and maintain constant communication with all drivers always.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests for pickups.
• Help resolve work-related problems and monitor work related accidents and incidents.
• Track any habitual problems. Investigate situations for root causes and provide corrective solutions to problems to avoid re-occurrence.
• Ensure smooth daily dispatch operations including computer systems, loading equipment and machinery.
• Advise and inform drivers of route and traffic problems such as : construction, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, weight and size restrictions and other information.
• Provide other customer service or after hours support as required

What we’re looking for :

• You must have at least 3 years of dispatch experience in the transportation industry
• Must be proficient in MS suite, Bringg, TruckMate.
• Must be able to work a very fast paced environment.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination.
• You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must have a clear criminal check.
