HR Manager opportunity with a well-established professional services organization based in downtown Vancouver.

Who- the Company :

Our client is a well-established professional services organization that is closely tied to the Vancouver business community.

They have a tight-knit HR team of around 25 people (in HR specialty areas such as talent acquisition, HR operations, and employee relations).

What- the Role :

Our client seeking a new HR Manager who will hold a very well-rounded portfolio of responsibilities involving HR policies, programs & processes, HR effectiveness, HR compliance, HRIS, HR data analysis, HR metrics, compensation & benefits design and analysis, etc.

The role does NOT involve much employee relations nor talent acquisition, but partners closely with closely with colleagues in those areas.

The HR Manager will be mentoring, leading, and coaching a two (2) direct reports and several indirect reports, so a positive and nurturing leadership style is very important in this role.

The HR Mgr reports into an HR Director. SWIM will provide interested and qualified candidates with a full job description .

Who- the Candidate :

We are looking for an HR professional with at least 6 years of HR operations experience. Candidate must have experience with formal people management (a team of at least 2 people and ideally 5 people) and excellent leadership skills.

Solid understanding of BC employment law and experience working for a BC-based organization is required.

Experience working for a professional organization (law firm, real estate firm, accounting firm, post-secondary educational institution, etc.

and supporting an employee population consisting largely of senior level and highly educated professionals is very beneficial.

CPHR and some form of HR post-secondary education is required. Candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style.

How Much :

Competitive base salary commensurate with level of skills, experience, and education- likely in the range of $90,000 to $100,000.

The company will provide their new HRBP with a solid overall compensation package, including a competitive RRSP match, 4 weeks paid vacation plus sick days, professional development and tuition support, and excellent health, dental, & vision benefits.

Where :

HYBRID. The company is headquartered in downtown Vancouver, very close to rapid transit. 4+ days / week in office during initial training, onboarding, and relationship building.

After that the HR Manager can work from home 2 days / week.
