Join us and learn how marketing can be a powerful tool in advancing scientific innovation! Summary As a Social Media Specialist reporting to the Director of Global Marketing, you'll play a key role in helping CellCarta expand its reach and showcase our expertise in advancing scientific research.
Supporting the social media strategy, you’ll combine creativity with data-driven insights to craft engaging content and measure its success across various platforms.
You'll work with a dynamic, collaborative team, contributing fresh ideas and helping shape our marketing initiatives to elevate CellCarta's mission in advancing drug development research.
Responsibilities Content Creation & Copywriting : Write engaging, on-brand copy for social media posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and WeChat.
Adapt content to fit each platform’s style, tone, and audience, ensuring across all posts. Collaborate with the graphic designer to input on visual assets and ensure content is visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines.
Social Media Calendar Management : Assist in managing and organizing the social media content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of posts and alignment with marketing campaigns, product launches, and key events.
Schedule posts and ensure all content is published according to the content calendar. Analytics & Reporting : Monitor and track social media performance using analytics tools (e.
g., Sprout Social, native platform analytics) to measure engagement, reach, and ROI. Provide regular reports on social media performance, highlighting trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
Collaboration & Input on Marketing Content : Contribute ideas for social media campaigns, promotional content, and new formats (e.
g., short-form videos, infographics, etc.). Work with the marketing team to develop social media strategies that align with broader marketing goals.
Assist with the creation of promotional content, such as short videos, for distribution on social media platforms. Platform-Specific Best Practices : Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to ensure content remains engaging.
Provide recommendations on platform-specific tactics to improve engagement and brand visibility. Community Engagement : Engage with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner to build and nurture online communities.
Monitor social media conversations and provide feedback or insights to the marketing and communications teams. Education Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.
g., Life Sciences, Biology, Pharmacology, or related discipline) with a strong interest in digital marketing and social media strategies.
Candidates with a combination of scientific education and experience or passion for marketing will be considered. Main Requirements Strong writing, editing, and copywriting skills with an ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
Creative and collaborative mindset, with the ability to contribute to both written and visual content development. Knowledge of immunology, genomics, and histopathology is a strong asset.
1 2 years of experience (internships or freelance experience are also acceptable) in social media marketing, digital marketing, or content creation is preferred.
Familiarity with social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), and WeChat is an asset. Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with tools like Canva, or similar is an asset.
Understanding of social media analytics tools and reporting is an asset. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Track record of strong execution and ability to respond to situations quickly. Working Conditions Position can be remote or hybrid in Canada.
