We are looking for a high-energy, caring, and motivated individual to oversee the Youth and Family department. This is a key position at our Club and is responsible for creating opportunities for children and their families to be together, create memories and enrich their lives through sport, the arts and play.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall development, coordination, and supervision of the Youth Department facilities, including the Youth Room, South Gymnasium and Indoor playground, the Winter Pond ice skating rink (seasonal) and turf field (seasonal).
- Overall development, coordination and supervision of the Youth Department programs, services, and events.
- Managing all aspects of the Youth staff team including hiring, training, orientation, performance evaluations, and service expectations.
- Marketing and promotion of the youth programs, special events and seasonal camps, and responsible for assigned content in the quarterly publication of the BARK magazine.
- Accountable for budgets, billings, and invoices for assigned areas (responsible for a 15% contribution to the bottom line for every Recreation Services program, event and service provided).
- Organizes, leads and coordinates large-scale family events with support from Recreation Services team.
- Attends regular meetings with the Recreation Services team, and other meetings as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Displays exceptional member service skills, strong leadership and team-building skills, and organizational skills.
- A background in event planning, coaching, program development and / or in summer camps is an asset.
- A strong passion for working with children and creating a positive and fun experience in any setting.
- 5 years’ experience in working with children and youth in an educational or recreational setting.
- Degree in relevant area of study such as Education, Business, Kinesiology or Recreation Management is preferred.
- The ability to work in an everchanging dynamic environment.
- Emergency First Aid Certificate is required.
- Sport certifications, High-Five Certification or other similar certification is an asset.
