We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager who can lead an established maintenance team. Offering a competitive salary and great benefits, our client in the food manufacturing industry leads the industry in putting their employees first.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all maintenance shifts in a 24 / 7 automated facility.
- Track KPIs and analyze daily faults, creating and maintaining reports.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to refine maintenance procedures and uphold customer service levels.
- Optimize and manage maintenance team staffing, headcount, overtime, and performance.
- Supervise the Computerized Management System, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Foster continuous improvement as a team builder, coach, and trainer.
- Maximize machinery uptime through planned and unplanned repairs.
- Maintain consistent communication with all departments and leadership.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and provide monthly forecasts for parts, headcount, and expenses.
- Respond to on-call duties efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education in mechanical, electrical, or related fields; engineering degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in maintenance or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles and 5S methodologies.
- Experience in both unionized and non-unionized environments preferred.
- Analytical problem solver with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Manufacturing startup experience is an asset.
