About the Client

Our client is a privately held Canadian investment management firm. They are looking for a Finance Manager who will assist with reporting, month end, and full cycle duties.

About the Opportunity

• Maintain and reconcile financial records for clients, including investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Oversee the general ledger, including recording complex transactions, reconciling cash and positions for funds, and reviewing journal entries for accuracy and completeness

Prepare financial statements and investor reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for stakeholders

Lead the preparation and filing of regulatory reports ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements

Lead coordinator of annual audits, liaising with external auditors, preparing required documentation, and addressing audit inquiries efficiently

Develop and oversee internal controls and financial reporting processes, identifying and implementing process improvements

Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, providing insights and recommendations on financial performance, risk management, and operational efficiencies

About You

Strong accounting background – FS prep, month end close, full cycle accounting

CPA or equivalent designation is an asset but not required

Industry : Financial service experience is an asset but not required

System Experience : Sage Accpac, Salesforce, SAP Concur, SS&C Global Wealth Platform are assets but not required

Communication : French fluency is an asset but not required
