KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Engineering Division is currently looking for a student who is enrolled in an engineering or technical program to join us for a busy summer construction season. Work includes general office duties (phone calls, emails, filing of documents), traffic control, traffic counts, assisting with the asphalt and concrete patching program, assisting with monitoring the transit system, working with residents and contractors to complete yard work following construction, and other general duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence. You will have to provide a copy of this.
- Completion of at least 1 year of an engineering or technical program at a university or college level.
- Experience with working in a construction setting is considered an asset.
- Please include any practical engineering experience you may have, outside of the courses you are taking at school.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required prior to commencing work
HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY
Rate of Pay : $41.53 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
Anticipated Start Date : May 1, 2025
Hours of Work : 40 hours per week
