SEEKING REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS WHO WANT TO TRY EMERGENCY MEDICINE AND LOVE A STRONG TEAM ENVIRONMENT!
Are we looking for a new challenge and dynamic work experience – something different than regular practice? We seek full-time RVTs to join our busy, 24 / 7 emergency practice. RVTs will assist our veterinarians and emergency care support staff to help improve the quality of care given to our patients, including :
assisting in multiple procedures providing care for animals, including physical examinations, emergency treatment, surgeries and euthanasia,
serving as the first point of contact for patients and emergency triage, assisting and completing diagnostics laboratory work, providing specialized nursing cases and treatments, and administering medications,
ensuring excellent and comprehensive communication with clients and referring DVMs about the status and treatment of their pets and
administrative and maintenance responsibilities, including client service, animal care, clinic maintenance and cleaning.
Our ideal candidate has completed their Veterinary Technician Diploma, registered with the OAVT, is an excellent communicator, is a strong team player, has superb technical skills, and is passionate about emergency medicine. Essential skills include flexibility, multi-tasking, adaptability, efficiency, hard work, compassion, respect, positivity, curiosity and growth-oriented.
Must be willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights), weekends, and holidays. Total time is three shifts / week, and weekend shifts are every other weekend only. Enjoy the extra flexibility of the additional time off.
