Veterinary Specialty Center of Newfoundland & Labrador (“VSCNL”) is seeking a Board-Certified Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the enthusiastic team at the only referral center in the province. We are offering a generous signing bonus of up to $100,000!This is an excellent opportunity to lead our busy surgery service and provide much-needed surgical care to the animals of Newfoundland.As a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon, you will work closely with the surgical support team of highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians and assistants alongside specialists in diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, and an incredible ER team.You will have access to advanced surgical tools including Storz arthroscopic and laparoscopic equipment, C-arm and C-arm compatible OR tables, Harmonic Scalpel, Asculap battery-operated orthopedic drills and saws, standard and locking orthopedic implants, and almost anything else you can think of!We also have a comprehensive in-house laboratory staffed by Registered Medical Laboratory Technologists and the only Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) in the province. Our rehabilitation service is well equipped with a large gym area, underwater treadmill, laser, TENS, and therapeutic ultrasound. Diagnostic imaging capabilities are all available with an in-house 32-slice GE CT and a 1.5 T MRI.Consistent locum coverage for surgeon relief is provided multiple times a year, ensuring ample support for your work-life balance.
