Position : HR Business Partner (HRBP)Location : St. John's, Newfoundland and Halifax, Nova ScotiaSchedule : Full-time, 5 days onsiteOverview : We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our teams in St. John's and Halifax. This individual will serve as a key advisor to site managers and leaders, fostering strong relationships while ensuring compliance with HR best practices. The HRBP will play a critical role in managing industrial relations and partnering with demanding unions, requiring exceptional autonomy, confidence, and leadership capabilities.Key Responsibilities : Serve as an HR subject matter expert, coaching site managers and leaders in HR best practices.Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives while managing complex and demanding union dynamics.Handle industrial relations effectively, ensuring positive engagement between staff and unions.Support the implementation and monitoring of KPIs to drive performance improvements.Manage budget responsibilities independently, with a clear understanding of budgetary principles.Foster an autonomous work style, taking full ownership of HR-related initiatives and challenges.Act as a quick responder and decisive leader, demonstrating a Type A personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications : Proven HRBP experience with a focus on industrial relations and union partnerships.Strong ability to navigate demanding union environments with confidence and strategic thinking.Demonstrated ability to coach and guide leaders on HR best practices, fostering organizational success.Familiarity with KPI frameworks and budget management principles.Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a results-driven mindset.Self-motivated, autonomous, and capable of taking control of key HR functions independently.Why Join Us : This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of HR operations across two dynamic sites.
