Position Summary
Thales requires a Ship Maintenance Lead to oversee the planning, execution and closeout of Work Period activities on assigned vessels. As Ship Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for the integrated schedule and worksite during structured work periods; coordinating internal and external (Customer, Contractors (TSN)’s, strategic partners etc.) teams through all phases of the work period; directing and monitoring all activities to completion while preparing and delivering regular work period reports relating to schedule progress, cost and risks; and ensuring all work executed in the Work Period follows all worksite safety plans and procedures.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Ship Maintenance Lead is responsible to :
- Lead the work period project planning activities of preparing, organizing and validating to ensure successful transition from project planning through to project closure.
- Execute, monitor and control each project until its completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders with respect to the maintenance execution function on the ships.
- Supervising (planning, organizing, leading and controlling) the Thales personnel and subcontractors to achieve agreed outcomes within their delegated authorities and responsibilities.
- Responsible for coordinating and conducting all required activities prior to the commencement of maintenance execution. This involves subcontractor kick off meetings, authorization of purchase requisitions and issue of purchase orders.
- Oversee all maintenance execution activities for designated maintenance periods to ensure material readiness objectives for the platforms are being achieved.
