Job Description
- Reporting to the Integrated Product Team - Engineering Group Leader and Senior Mass Properties Engineer
- Support to design / analysis / systems / performance groups by communicating accurate mass properties data at various stages of development
- Participate in regular design / analysis reviews with customers and suppliers to ensure a weight-optimized product is delivered
- Development of new tools / databases to continually improve the storing and prediction of mass properties data
- Create and maintain mass properties spreadsheets, reports, and databases for existing and new development LG programs
- Create and maintain parametric data and tools to support trade studies, RFI's and RFP's.
- Weight control of our LG products by establishing realistic targets, providing max or nominal weights for drawings / models, and coordinate mass properties data with suppliers / partners.
- Support change board meetings by calculating accurate mass properties impacts for any proposed change ensuring to maintain configuration control
- Support the creation of Acceptance Test Procedures, ensuring the process for weight validation and tools / scales are properly defined
- Participation in a different functional role as required by the business (e.g. Design, Stress, etc.).
- Other company / Engineering related activities as required
