General scope of the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team at Habasit. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Active Directory / Azure AD, and possess a strong foundation in systems engineering and support across multiple technologies. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing mobile, Windows devices, and applications, as well as troubleshooting complex system and network issues. You will leverage your skills to ensure optimal system performance and provide high-level support across multiple platforms for users in North America (Canada & US).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deploy, and manage mobile, Windows devices, and applications using Microsoft Intune.
  • Ensure seamless integration and configuration for Intune across various device types.
  • Troubleshoot Intune-related issues and work closely with teams to resolve device management concerns.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD environments, ensuring secure access management.
  • Support user and group management, including group policy, and implement security and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure proper identity and access management in hybrid environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced system, network, and application issues, using strong problem-solving skills.
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Implement system performance metrics and recommend improvements for efficiency and stability.
  • Develop solutions to complex technical challenges, thinking critically to identify the best course of action.
  • Identify potential risks within system architecture, and take steps to mitigate or escalate them as needed.
  • Observe and adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and risk limits within the role.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support and integrate new technologies.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Document processes and system changes for future reference and team collaboration.

Other Duties :

  • Perform related duties as assigned by management, including special projects and system upgrades.
  • Stay current with evolving industry standards and technologies to enhance system reliability and performance.

    • Education and Experience

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree or Master's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience : 3 to 5 years of experience supporting various technologies, including system administration, networking, and security

    • To be successful in this role, the following attributes are required :

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and a broad knowledge of multiple technical disciplines.
  • Proficiency with software development lifecycle, system architecture, and various components within the software pipeline.
  • Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and system tasks.
  • Solid networking skills and understanding of network and security protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD environments.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and manage multiple technology stacks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
