Registered Clinical Psychologist - Lifemark Health Group , Provincial Mental Health Programs & Services

Location : Calgary, AB

Status :  Casual Part Time @ 15 hrs / week

Pay : Fee-For-Service split

As a Partner in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), Lifemark Health Group is seeking Registered Clinical Psychologists to join our interdisciplinary teams of health providers. In this role, you will deliver medical, psychological, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients referred by third-party funders such as MVA and LTD.

You will find purpose in this role by :

  • Developing new mental health program content to meet the unique needs of various client groups.
  • Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics.
  • Delivering individual and group treatment for a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment, and interpersonal issues.
  • Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
  • Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.
  • Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level.

    Education and Licensure :

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Formal training in diagnostic / formal assessments is required.
  • Current registration in good standing with the provincial College of Alberta Psychologists (competency with adult populations required; clinical designation required; counseling psychology, health / rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology considered assets). Supervised Practice Psychologists are welcome to apply.
  • Individual professional liability insurance is required at the time of employment.
  • Applied Experience :

  • Formal training and experience conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches.
  • Experience developing and evaluating mental health programs is considered an asset.
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third-party payers is considered an asset.
  • Utilizing telehealth / virtual care methods is considered an asset.
  • Additional Abilities :

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Efficient with required clinical documentation.
  • Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.
