Are you an experienced actuarial professional looking for an opportunity to work on impactful projects while maintaining an excellent work-life balance? We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst / Assistant Actuary in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Vancouver. The job title will be determined based on experience. The candidate must have experience in DCDP Auto.
In this role, you will play a key part in pricing our products, analyzing strategic initiatives, and leveraging predictive analytics to assess market trends. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy solving complex actuarial challenges, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Actuarial Director of Actuarial to implement Alberta’s new care model.
- Conduct actuarial analysis on insurance rates, rating procedures, and rating plans across personal and commercial lines (property, auto, casualty).
- Develop effective rating systems and provide actuarial support for rate filings.
- Work closely with the IT department to enhance and maintain underwriting systems related to pricing and reinsurance.
- Build insurance forecasting models and drive data analysis for reinsurance programs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure competitive and profitable product pricing.
- Support the Executive Team with data-driven insights.
- Stay informed about industry developments and provide strategic recommendations.
- Present actuarial models and insights in a clear, actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in special projects and serve on company committees as needed.
