Description and Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical professional to join our team as a Senior NGL Analyst. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, forecasting supply and demand, and preparing, maintaining, and distributing daily commodity marketing pricing reports. - Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the NGL markets, including propane and butane.
- Develop accurate supply and demand forecasts for NGLs by analyzing production data, storage levels, import / export figures, and other relevant factors.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to develop pricing strategies, and optimize the distribution of NGL price offerings.
- Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential deals, assess profitability, and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and analyze competitors' pricing and sales activities, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify potential impacts on our business.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management, highlighting key findings and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, sales, supply, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and efficient operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong focus on NGL marketing, trading, or related areas.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Strong understanding of NGL markets, pricing mechanisms, and industry dynamics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Power BI, as well as experience with coding, and working with large datasets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Experience with energy trading and risk management (ETRM) systems.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the energy industry.
- Familiarity with supply chain optimization and logistics management.
- Proven track record of successful deal execution and value creation in the NGL marketing space.
