The Datacom Sales Manager position, based in BC Interior is an incredible opportunity for someone looking for an exciting challenge. To be a Datacom Manager, you’ll have a strong understanding of the Telecommunications and Data communications industries. You also have a proven history of successful end-user business development and technology sales. You will come into this role with a strong understanding of large account management and market dynamics, and your polished presentation skills, and good negotiation and problem-solving skills will help you lead our Datacom activities. As a people manager, you will be a motivator and mentor, and create a results driven team! Overall, you’ve got the passion, know-how, and commitment to achieve exceptional results in a highly visible product category.

Your Responsibilities are :

  • Lead the selling effort for Datacom products at data and electrical contractors, engineers, and end-users.
  • Partner closely with network of regional sales (branch) and Datacom agents to maximize sales and promote market expansion.
  • Provide market intelligence.
  • Stay current on competitive activity and changing market trends.
  • Effectively communicate customer needs, activities, opportunities, market needs, new product ideas and other related information to the management team.
  • Drive growth through enhancing / optimizing current business and identifying / closing new business and market opportunities to include short and long range growth and profitability objectives.
  • Develop sales strategies by developing quarterly business plans, forecasting, anticipating sales requirements, determine productivity and potential client service strategies.
  • Skills & Qualifications :

  • University or College Degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the datacom, premise wiring, or IT industries preferred.
  • Excellent sales and closing abilities including extensive knowledge of the datacom industry.
  • Demonstrable experience and past success developing and executing strategic plans and increasing sales productivity through sales enablement initiatives.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent abilities in areas of interpersonal relations, judgment, creative thinking and prioritization.
  • Must be highly proficient in using Microsoft Applications.
