Our client is a recognized leader in ground transportation freight, known for their commitment to excellence and innovation in logistics. They are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinators to join their teams in Lachine, Montreal, QC.

About the Role :

As a Logistics Coordinator , you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless transportation and coordination of goods, either via ground freight or intermodal solutions. You will manage day-to-day logistics operations, working closely with carriers, clients, and internal teams to deliver outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with carriers and negotiate rates to secure cost-effective transport solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for freight and intermodal shipments.
  • Proactively address any transportation issues or delays, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics processes.
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in ground freight or intermodal transportation.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates with carriers.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of freight or intermodal logistics processes and documentation.
