Bookkeeper
Permanent position, Montreal Area (Westmount / Downtown)

Responsibilities :
- Processing vendor invoices
- Creating and sending invoices to customers.
- Credit card / bank statement reconciliation
- Send payments and remittances to vendors
- Quickbooks journal entries
- Balancing books on monthly / quarterly basis
- Coordinate with external accountants as needed
- Maintain precise and current financial records using advanced accounting software (Quickbooks).
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately including reporting
- Verify bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure correctness.
- Compile and submit monthly financial reports, offering insights for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in creating budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct regular audits to guarantee data accuracy, compliance with financial rules, and adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate across departments, collecting financial data, and supporting financial aspects of diverse projects.
- Some admin tasks including but not limited to :
- Maintain office supply inventory.
- Preparing letters, presentations, and reports related to accounting and finance
- Implementing and maintaining new version of accounting system (Quickbooks)
- Assisting with internal programs and critical projects
- Office inventory
Qualifications :
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Or a college degree in accounting with hands on bookkeeping experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when entering data.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- The capability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information effectively.
- Spanish speaking abilities considered an asset, French desired considered asset (international business mainly in English, Spanish for South America and US considered an asset)
