Senior Solutions Architect

A career as a Senior Solutions Architect at the National Bank, within the National Bank Independent Network Team in the Wealth Management domain, offers the opportunity to play a key role in one of the most significant digital transformations in our history.

Reporting to the Director, IT, you will be responsible for driving the architectural direction and delivering critical technology solutions, including the implementation of a modern, cloud-based, API-driven, scalable, and high-performance platform.

By working closely with business leaders, product managers, and IT teams, you will ensure alignment between strategic objectives and architectural requirements while contributing to a seamless, frictionless user experience for our clients.

Your Role

• Collaborate with the Product Team, Business Partners, Domain Architects, and IT Leaders to define the architectural roadmap that supports the development of our platform solutions.
• Provide strategic direction on how to leverage technology to deliver a world-class digital product to our customers.
• Play an influential role across the IT community at the Bank, helping to set technology direction that aligns with our digital roadmap.
• Work closely with the Architecture community to ensure alignment in delivering modern cloud-based applications, building synergy across the organization in the development of a modern technology infrastructure.
• Partner with the development team to ensure smooth workflows, enabling agile and rapid development of a world-class platform.
• Define models and systems that support a durable, industry-leading technical product, while aligning with the goals of our Product Partners.
• Document and review architecture, infrastructure, and security solutions to gain organizational approval, ensuring we build the right solutions for the business and broader technology needs.
• Assess and identify innovative technologies to stay informed about market trends, competitors, and opportunities that help position us as an industry leader.
• Participate in the IT Leadership Team, contributing to the development of a high-performing team, a world-class product, and a modern technology platform that meets our customers' needs.

Prerequisites

• More than 10 years of experience in development and architecture within the banking sector, with expertise in deploying modern solutions (especially AWS) to support business objectives.
• Experience designing architecture solutions using proven cloud technologies for large-scale wealth management applications, tailored to a B2B business model.
• In-depth technical skills enabling strategic and detailed collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to define the best technical direction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, large-scale programs, including greenfield projects, using agile multi-team models with a track record of successful project delivery on time.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence a variety of stakeholders to guide strategy, execution, and technical approach.
