We’re currently looking for a Coordinator, Individual Giving to join our Resource Development team.

Reporting to the Director, Philanthropy, the Coordinator, Individual Giving will support internal and external initiatives and deliverables that focus on generating revenue and deepening relationships across the donor pipeline from Core to Major Donors.

What you will do

  • Support with donor prospecting, stewardship, recognition and thank you strategies.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of key supporter and partner needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service for donor inquiries by email and phone.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, including some evenings.
  • Tracking and reporting of fundraising efforts and data management.
  • Support Philanthropy Officers with gift processing, impact reporting and strategy mapping and execution.
  • Provide administrative support, including meeting preparation, note taking and follow-up.
  • Support with operational processes and systems, including process documentation.
  • Continuously seek process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Segment data for donor journeys and oversee distribution of mass communications.
  • Supporting cross departmental teams and acting as point of contact for the Individual Giving Team.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.

What you will bring

Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Broad knowledge of the principles of fundraising.
  • Ability to understand the needs and interests of United Way’s various partners.
  • Experience with email and event platforms such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Eventbrite, and ThankView.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
  • Experience operating a large database (CRM) considered an asset.
