In this role you will :
- Foster, maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular, comprehensive contact
- Ensure all portfolios are compliant with the clients’ Investment Policy Statements
- Network internally to foster relationships and ensure the value proposition relating to Private Investment Counsel services is promoted and well understood
- Keep current on all financial matters that would affect client investment activities
- Team with other specialists including Insurance Consultants, Estate & Trust Advisors, Practice Solutions advisors, and Financial Consultants to provide a complete financial, practice and life program for clients
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his / her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment
- Be responsible for business development, networking, pipeline building, business planning and closing business
- Travel as required
The Must Haves :
- Level 1 CFA or hold the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation (including 24 months of relevant investment management experience subject to regulatory approval)
- A minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience, specific to becoming registered as an Associate Advising Representative
- College or University degree
