Job Description
As a member of the Seasonal Full time Conversions team, you will deliver championship service throughout the organization. Under the direction of the Supervisors of Conversions, you shall be responsible for performing routine duties and completing conversion requirements associated with the day-to-day activities of the conversion division of the Building Operations department.
Duties include but are not limited to : Manual labor, event set-up and tear down activities, compliance with equipment handling guidelines, and other functions and duties as required by the Conversion Supervisor and Conversion Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with a team to convert and prepare the arena for events including hockey, basketball, concerts and other public / private events
- Ensure that all storage rooms are kept clean and organized
- Interact with other departmental personnel in a cooperative and professional manner
- Complete daily assignments as assigned
- Preventative maintenance and repair of facility permanent and telescoping seating
- Perform pre / post event or conversion inspections and document with completed checklists
- Perform cleaning and maintenance on equipment, keep work areas and equipment organized and functional
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Conversion Supervisor and Conversion Manager
- Adhere to all MLSE service standards and policies
- Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Work inside or on the exterior of the Scotiabank Arena, as needed
- Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor
- Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively
