Key Responsibilities
Client Services
- Deliver expert guidance on insurance and risk management to clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
- Manage and assist with the renewal process, policy reviews, and negotiations according to INTECH's standards.
- Handle documentation management, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submissions.
- Assist with claims management, providing updates and managing the process efficiently.
- Conduct thorough assessments of client portfolios, evaluating potential risks and exposures associated with lending activities, and recommending appropriate insurance coverage options to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enhance insurance products and services tailored to the unique requirements of developers and contractors, keeping abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
- Review and advice clients on the insurance and indemnity provisions in contracts (including construction), leases and other material agreements using INTECH’s standards.
- Negotiate insurance terms, conditions, and pricing on behalf of clients, leveraging strong relationships within the insurance industry to secure optimal coverage and favorable terms.
Business Development
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities; prepare and present proposals.Work collaboratively on RFPs and RFQs, drafting responses and coordinating submissions.Share market insights and opportunities with the team, contributing to strategic discussions.Relationship Management
Proactively manage client relationships, anticipate needs, and handle day-to-day interactions.Alert leadership about potential relationship issues and contribute to client retention strategies.Attend and conduct client meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Policy and Documentation Management
Oversee insurance programs and placements, focusing on compliance and client needs.Draft and negotiate insurance terms in contracts and leases, elevating complex issues to senior leadership.Ensure all client documentation is current and stored securely in accordance with company guidelines.Training and Development
Engage in continuous learning and development and apply new skills to enhance job performance.Mentor junior staff and co-op students, fostering a culture of engagement and professional growth.Requirements
RIBO, CIP, or CRM designation required.5-10 years experience is required for this role.Experience in Construction within the Risk Management sector is a requirement, with commercial real estate an asset.Knowledge of infrastructure and energy sectors is a plus.Experience with Canadian and / or US insurance programs.Strong skills in commercial contract / lease drafting and negotiation.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Benefits
