Our utility sector client is looking for a Senior Lead Consultant to manage client relationships and drive project success in advanced metering infrastructure initiatives.

The incumbent is the lead consultant on engagements of all sizes and is accountable to ensure project objectives are achieved and consistent with organizational service standards.

A permanent role (preferred) or a multi-year contract.

Fully remote across Canada.

Ability to travel to client sites throughout Canada and the U.S. (expenses covered by the client).

Responsibilities :

  • Lead client relationship management and work with members of the Consulting Team to provide client support on various projects.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations in support of our Business Development team to educate clients on our services and solutions and how our organization can assist the client
  • Prepare, lead, and validate outcomes of requirements gathering workshops with clients
  • Prepare and deliver strategy, technical, and non-technical reports for client engagements
  • Provide guidance on subject matter expertise on current technologies in the market that are applicable to the project
  • Lead decision analysis discussions with clients as required
  • Prepare business cases and budgets for clients as required
  • Articulate business needs and describe how technology can improve the client’s business processes
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on integrations of client systems, staying aligned with best practices
  • Design and document solutions for client engagements and leverage team capabilities as required

Must Haves :

  • Expert knowledge of metering infrastructure (AMI) and meter data management (MDM) solutions (10+ years), including market trends and emerging technologies.
  • 10+ years in systems integration : strong understanding of AMI integration with utility systems (e.g., ADMS, OMS, GIS).
  • Knowledge of smart city solutions and the meter-to-cash process for utilities.
  • 5+ years leading large-scale advanced metering initiatives .
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer / Data Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with C-suite executives and presenting to various audiences.
  • Ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships and simplify business requirements.
  • Basic project and financial management skills.
