Program Specialist - Veteran Family Program

THE ROLE This position is integral in delivering the Veteran Family Program (VFP) through the Military Family Services Greenwood. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting medically released Veterans and their families as they navigate their transition to civilian lifestyle by developing a robust network of community partners and service providers; offering enhanced information and referral services; and delivering or facilitating local and national transition-focused programming. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED College diploma or certificate in Social Science, Education or a related field AND Several years of experience in family support, social services or a related field. Experience In creating briefing materials and presentations In establishing, sustaining and fostering a network of community contacts and partnerships In applying policies, procedures and regulations and developing standardized content In proofreading, layout and design In delivery of family support services In coordinating training sessions, workshops, and taking minutes In drafting correspondence In working with multidisciplinary team Competencies, Skills and Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
