Overview

We are seeking an Executive Director to lead a transformative organization dedicated to supporting a world-class minerals industry through innovation in education, training, research, and development. This role provides the chance to make a significant impact in a globally recognized sector and shape the future of the industry through strategic leadership, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and guide the development and execution of a comprehensive innovation portfolio aimed at harmonizing exploration, exploitation, and long-term sustainable impact.
  • Foster and expand key relationships across industry, government, and academic institutions to drive technological innovation and workforce development.
  • Provide visionary leadership and ensure the alignment of all programs and initiatives with the long-term strategic goals of the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted spokesperson and advocate for the minerals industry, promoting growth, innovation, and sustainability within the sector.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to advance Indigenous Peoples’ representation and create inclusive, impactful solutions within the industry.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation within the organization, ensuring diverse voices are heard and considered.
  • Manage organizational governance, ensuring effective communication with the Board of Directors and adherence to best managerial practices.

Qualities and Qualifications :

  • Postgraduate or undergraduate degree in minerals, business, research, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing innovative initiatives within the minerals, research, business, or governmental sectors.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration.
  • Experience working with diverse partners, including government, educational institutions, Indigenous organizations, and industry stakeholders, to achieve common objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in non-profit governance, managing complex organizational structures, and implementing programs that drive results.
  • Strong network and business acumen, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to drive new opportunities for growth and innovation.
