Overview
We are seeking an Executive Director to lead a transformative organization dedicated to supporting a world-class minerals industry through innovation in education, training, research, and development. This role provides the chance to make a significant impact in a globally recognized sector and shape the future of the industry through strategic leadership, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and guide the development and execution of a comprehensive innovation portfolio aimed at harmonizing exploration, exploitation, and long-term sustainable impact.
- Foster and expand key relationships across industry, government, and academic institutions to drive technological innovation and workforce development.
- Provide visionary leadership and ensure the alignment of all programs and initiatives with the long-term strategic goals of the organization.
- Serve as a trusted spokesperson and advocate for the minerals industry, promoting growth, innovation, and sustainability within the sector.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to advance Indigenous Peoples’ representation and create inclusive, impactful solutions within the industry.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation within the organization, ensuring diverse voices are heard and considered.
- Manage organizational governance, ensuring effective communication with the Board of Directors and adherence to best managerial practices.
Qualities and Qualifications :
Postgraduate or undergraduate degree in minerals, business, research, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Proven track record in leading and managing innovative initiatives within the minerals, research, business, or governmental sectors.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration.Experience working with diverse partners, including government, educational institutions, Indigenous organizations, and industry stakeholders, to achieve common objectives.Demonstrated experience in non-profit governance, managing complex organizational structures, and implementing programs that drive results.Strong network and business acumen, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to drive new opportunities for growth and innovation.
