Job Details

As Pension Accountant , you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of financial services and reporting. Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Posting cash sheets and journal entries with precision.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting audit processes and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Evaluating cash funding and coordinating with Treasury.
  • Reviewing trade files and identifying outstanding transactions.
  • Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial statements.
  • Preparing regulatory filings (e.g., CRS, FATCA, BSCR).
  • Responding to client inquiries and managing client reporting materials.
  • Conducting high-volume processing, invoicing, and receivables management.
  • Analyzing large data sets and presenting dashboards and KPIs to executives.

This role demands a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.

To excel in this role, you will need :

  • Education & Credentials : A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required. A CPA, ACMA, or ACCA designation is highly preferred.
  • Experience : Proven expertise in a technical accounting or client-facing role within the insurance or financial services sector. Experience with pensions is a significant asset.
  • Technical Skills : Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analytics tools, CRM systems, and fund management software. Knowledge of Great Plains and FIS Global is an advantage.
  • Analytical Mindset : Exceptional critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage complex technical requirements and large data sets.
  • Communication : Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills : A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional service in demanding environments.
