You are a self-motivated Salesforce specialist who is equally adept at communicating with computers as you are at communicating with people.

You like to experiment in Salesforce and build solutions that make life easier for those you work with. While you have some level of formal certification in Salesforce, your skills and talents are mission and interest driven, and you like working with teammates to deliver good solutions.

You’re excited to share your knowledge, lead a team and build a growing Salesforce practice. You’re eager to join a B Corp and blend a passion for Salesforce with a desire to make an impact on philanthropy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

At Grantbook, you’ll lead a growing practice and mentor an enthusiastic team of Salesforce builders. As a technical specialist, you’ll build customized solutions on the Salesforce platform and help integrate Salesforce and other cloud solutions for grants management, customer relationship management, and related functional areas that meet our foundation clients’ needs.

You’ll also help support and optimize existing Salesforce Grants Management System builds. In this full time role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, taking ownership over the technical details, implementation and integration pieces on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Salesforce Technical Lead

Act as the technical lead of our Salesforce practice you’ll be at the forefront of innovating our practices to implement, setup, and deploy Salesforce for clients.

In this work, you will get to :

  • Lead discovery meetings to map out business processes with clients, and translating them into requirements for systems that evaluate and rank applications
  • Design system architecture, including custom data models and workflows
  • Build out solutions using declarative Salesforce functionality, including automations using Flow Builder.
  • Build out solutions using declarative Salesforce functionality, including automations using Flow Builder.
  • Work with various form builders to create applicant-friendly application forms that balance user experience and data collection
  • Set up online portals in Experience Builder for users to review and submit applications, reports and payments
  • Automate emails and communications between the foundation and their applicants to streamline the grant approval process
  • Build reports and dashboards for foundation boards and directors to see where their funds are going, and where their impact is measuring against benchmarks
  • Implement third party / appexchange tools to enable document generation and file management.
  • Develop continuous testing, deployment, and support of new features and changes to ensure systems are available and functioning for staff as intended

Salesforce Mentorship

As an advanced builder on the Salesforce team, you will get to :

  • Mentor team members as they develop their Salesforce skills and certifications
  • Host learning sessions to share knowledge and build capacity of team members
  • Provide coaching to help newer builders get unblocked, solve problems and ideate on solutions
  • Develop your leadership skills with an enthusiastic and dedicated team

Develop Salesforce Practice

As we build out our Salesforce team and practice, you will get to :

  • Work with Grantbook’s Growth team to support the scoping and sales of Salesforce services to grantmaking organizations
  • Work with Partnership Lead to grow our Salesforce Implementation Partnership by helping to design and execute on the future state vision of the practice
  • Provide thought leadership both internally and with external stakeholders in how Salesforce can best be implemented to operationalize a Foundation’s mission and vision
  • Further develop our current-state audit and solution evaluation practices by gathering and documenting the functional requirements for new grantmaking systems and processes and bringing ideas for improvement to how we work
  • Produce and share client-specific training and documentation, including on-site training, video tutorials, and blog posts around technology best practices and processes
  • Ideate with our team on how to bring new approaches and practices to our work

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide feedback and help enhance Grantbook’s overall operations.
  • Contribute to the direction and strategy of the Salesforce practice at Grantbook.
  • Support Grantbook’s marketing and sales efforts.

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER

  • Over five years of working with the implementation and technology adoption of Salesforce, ideally in a grantmaking or nonprofit environment.
  • Three to five years of experience working with large data sets, either through analysis or supporting system migrations.
  • High proficiency in the use of cloud solutions, such as G Suite, Office 365, Salesforce, Box, Dropbox, and Asana.
  • Strong interest in developing an expertise in configuring grants management systems in Salesforce.
  • Interest in experimenting with creative ways to utilize flows, third party components, and integrations to meet complex client needs.
  • Prior experience and familiarity working with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and relational databases preferred.
  • Self-organizer and problem-solver, prepared to meet tight deadlines across multiple projects, with ability to prioritize and delegate tasks as needed.
  • Able to translate plain language stakeholder requests into technical requirements, as well as technical information into plain English.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and a customer service oriented approach.
  • Eligible to travel to and work in client offices across North America.

YOUR SALESFORCE EXPERIENCE

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Additional desirable certifications : Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Experience Cloud Consultant, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, Business Analyst
  • Ideally, experience with :
  • Flow Builder
  • Salesforce Approval Processes
  • Designing custom data models and building custom objects
  • Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • External Services preferred
  • Knowledge of the Outbound Funds managed package preferred
  • Salesforce tool integrations via Marketplace, middleware or other means. Typical tools include Formstack Documents, FormAssembly, MailChimp, DocuSign, Conga, etc.)
  • Bulk data loading tools such as Data Loader, Dataloader.io, Workbench, etc.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce user licensing options preferred

HOW YOU’LL BENEFIT

SALARY & BENEFITS

Grantbook has a transparent salary structure with 6 levels, from A through F. We are looking for a candidate who has hands-on experience with Salesforce implementation and can make recommendations as to best practices, at the salary level of C.

Your starting salary would be within the range of $93,600 - $101,000. Throughout your interview process, we’ll learn more about your skills and experience and determine your salary based on what you bring to the team.

We take pay equity at Grantbook very seriously and strive to ensure everyone on our team is accurately and fairly compensated for their work.

This means someone who is less comfortable negotiating a higher salary won’t be financially penalized compared to someone who readily argues for higher pay.

Our salary bands are tied to similar roles in the market. We scan similar organizations size, sector, culture with the goal to provide competitive compensation.

Each level reflects a stage of progress at Grantbook defined by expected experience and skills for that level.

In addition to base pay, all Grantbook team members will enjoy a bonus an equal share of a dedicated portion of profits set aside to reward the whole team for exceptional performance on our impact goals.
